We partnered with ditto, an upscale nonprofit resale shop in North Haledon, New Jersey, on a thoughtful rebrand and custom Squarespace website designed to reflect their warmth, sense of community, and elevated retail experience. As part of the larger Eastern Christian organization, ditto serves local families and students through proceeds generated from curated clothing and home goods. The goal was to evolve their existing brand — not reinvent it — while creating a polished, welcoming digital presence that better communicates who they are, what they offer, and why it matters.

ditto already had strong community recognition, so this project centered on refinement rather than reinvention. We preserved key elements of the original identity, including the lowercase “d,” while introducing a more retail-forward visual icon to better communicate that ditto is an upscale resale destination. The refreshed color palette was intentionally chosen to balance sophistication with warmth: a deep navy (durable and practical for in-store aprons), paired with a warm orange, soft green, light blue, and off-white to reflect the inviting, thoughtfully curated feel of the physical shop. The overall direction was warm, clean, friendly, and quality-driven — aligning with how ditto operates in real life.

Beyond the primary logo, we created versatile submarks to give the team flexibility across signage, tags, social media, and print materials. To support a seamless launch, I also designed branded Canva social media templates so staff and volunteers could confidently promote events and updates while maintaining visual consistency.

The custom Squarespace website was built to mirror the in-store experience: welcoming, organized, and easy to navigate. The homepage highlights the demographic ditto hopes to attract while feeling communicative and community-centered. Clear pathways guide users to donation guidelines, volunteer opportunities, store hours, and upcoming in-store events. Rather than overwhelming visitors, the layout prioritizes clarity and approachability, reinforcing that ditto is both mission-driven and thoughtfully curated.

This project required close collaboration with the General Manager, the Chair of the Board, and additional board members within the larger Eastern Christian organization. With multiple decision-makers, as well as volunteers and loyal shoppers invested in the outcome, alignment and communication were essential. Through thoughtful discovery conversations and collaborative checkpoints, we ensured the process felt inclusive and strategic. The result was a brand and website that felt unanimously supported — polished, cohesive, and reflective of ditto’s heart, mission, and continued growth.
